Privacy Policy

BookLore AI ("the app") lets you generate AI portraits of characters from books you're reading. This page explains what information the app handles and how.

Information stored via your iCloud account

Your bookshelf, characters, and generated portraits are stored using Apple's CloudKit in your own private iCloud database. This data is tied to your Apple ID, syncs across your own devices, and is not accessible to us directly — it lives in your personal iCloud storage, governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

Information sent to generate content

When you generate a character, the text you provide (character name, book title, description, quotes) is sent to the following third-party services solely to produce your result:

This text is used only to generate your requested content and is not stored by us beyond what's needed to complete the request. Please review fal.ai's and Google's own privacy policies for how they handle this data on their end. We only work with providers whose own privacy commitments offer protection consistent with this policy.

Purchases and subscriptions

Subscriptions and credit purchases are processed by Apple and managed via RevenueCat, which tracks your purchase and entitlement status using a randomly generated identifier tied to your iCloud account — not your name, email, or payment details, which we never receive. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for details.

What we don't do

Content moderation

Text you submit for character generation is automatically checked against a content policy before being sent to any image or text model, to prevent generating disallowed content.

Data deletion

Deleting a book or character in the app removes it from your iCloud account immediately. To remove everything at once, uninstall the app and delete its iCloud data via Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage. You can also email ios.dev.yana@gmail.com at any time to request deletion of any data associated with your account, and we'll confirm once it's done.

Children's privacy

BookLore AI is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date above.
